Community Rules
Rooms are public conversations about games and moments. Reading highlights and game information does not require an account. When discussions are enabled, commenting and liking comments require sign-in, acceptance of the current rules, and a declaration that you are 18 or older. This declaration does not verify your age.
Keep the conversation about the game
Post your own text in the appropriate game or moment thread. Comments are limited to 1,000 characters. Other people can read approved comments and see the author's display name, handle, jersey number, and avatar color. There are no private messages in Rooms.
Do not post:
- Harassment, threats, hate, bullying, or attacks based on identity.
- Sexual content, violent or graphic content, encouragement of self-harm, or illegal content, including any sexual content involving minors.
- Profanity, spam, repeated or deceptive posts, or attempts to evade safety checks.
- Links, phone numbers, email addresses, other contact details, or someone else's personal information.
How moderation works
Before publication, comments go through local checks and a hosted text classifier. A rejected comment is not published. If the safety service is unavailable, the comment stays private and pending; you can retry the same draft. Automated checks can miss harmful content. We review reports and may remove comments or suspend discussion participation for rule violations. There is no manual approval path for a comment that fails the publication checks.
Report, block, or remove
Use the menu on a comment to report it. Reporting hides that comment for you and sends a private report to the moderation review queue; it does not automatically email the support mailbox. You can block an author to hide their comments from your view. You can also delete your own comment from its menu. If you cannot use the in-app report, or want to appeal a removal or suspension, contact us through Room moderation support. Include the game and relevant comment details, but do not send passwords or sign-in codes.
See the Privacy Policy for information about discussion data and retention.
